Skip the straw

Let’s change for the better

We are adding a voice to the global movement of skipping plastic straws and as such, will no longer be serving straws with drinks at any of our hotels or casinos across the country.

Although straws are an item of convenience to most of us, they are extremely harmful to the ocean. Plastic straws are not recyclable as they are too lightweight to be processed and end up in the ocean, polluting the water and resulting in the death of marine life - with an estimation of 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles being found with plastic in their stomachs.

We hope that through our efforts, our you will be encouraged to stop using straws altogether.

Together we can make a difference.

Should you however need to use a straw for whatever reason, we offer a biodegradable straw on request.
