Remember, you must be 18 years of age and over! The entry criteria, prizes that are up for grabs, as well as promotion rules may be different for each promotion. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VARIOUS PRIZES 

NON-NEGOTIABLE CHIP REDEMPTION RULES

  1.  Winnings on bets may be paid out in cash chips depending on game type.
  2.  The value of the Non-Negotiable chips will be excluded as the Non-Negotiables have no cash-in value and will be forfeited after being paid. 
  3. Losing Non-Negotiables will be treated as losing bets. 
  4. Non-Negotiables played which result in neither a win nor loss will remain in play, dependent on the rules of the game, in some cases they may be returned to the player. 
  5. In a situation where only half the bet is lost (surrenders on BJ or "O" on AR) a cash chip may be used to half the odd chip if needed. 
  6. Non-Negotiables cannot be played as call bets or on outside chances (Roulette Tables).
  7. Non-Negotiables cannot be cashed out.

 HEMINGWAYS HOTEL

  1. This voucher is for a Hemingways Hotel night stay for two including breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant. 
  2. This voucher is valid until the specified date on voucher and may not be extended there after(The following dates are excluded 24, 25, 26, 31 December 2015 and the 14th of February 2016). 
  3. Bookings subject to availability. 
  4. This voucher is not transferable, may not be converted to cash and, if lost, will not be re-issued. 
  5. For Reservations please contact reservations department on (+27 43) 707 8000 and quote the reference on the Prize letter and that you produce the original letter on arrival at the hotel, as copies will not be accepted. 
  6. A R 500 refundable deposit is required to be paid upon check in at the hotel.

ELECTRONIC PROMOTIONAL RULES 

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion.
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into the category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion.
  3. This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  4. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration.
  5. Finalists and/or Prize winners will be selected by way of random draw. Specific draw times and dates; and entry criteria, will be advertised through advertising mediums used for this promotion.
  6. Participants can only print their tickets at the eHost machines on a Monday and Tuesday. 200 points earned in the past 30 days, earns you one ticket. Only one ticket per person per day is allowed and may be printed between the 8th October to 27 November 2015. Tickets are to be placed into the entry bin and will be advertised through mediums used within the casino.
  7. A register will be available at the Customer Service Desk on the day of the draw, two hours before the actual draw commences, where a participant can register to still be acknowledged for the prize, should he/she decline to be present for that draw or when the prize winners are announced on that day.
  8. Participants must register to decline to be present at draws in person. No person shall be permitted to act on behalf of a participant to exercise this rule. Positive and acceptable form of identification must be presented by participants when completing this register.
  9. Prize winners and/or finalists who are present will be given 90 seconds to present themselves and must be in possession of evidence of the winning ticket and/or Hemingways Card belonging to the winner; and positive and acceptable form of identification.
  10. Should finalists not present themselves within 90 seconds, and there is no record of the finalists declining the invitation to be present in the above mentioned register, a re-draw for another finalist will take place.
  11. In instances where only one eligible finalist is not present, the last draw mechanism, podium, box or similar device will be issued to this finalist by default of the other finalists choosing their draw mechanisms, podiums, boxes or similar devices.
  12. Any person who acts on behalf of an eligible finalist shall not be entitled to prizes and/or benefits awarded to the finalist or prize winner he or she acts on behalf of.
  13. Persons acting on behalf of eligible finalists must acknowledge that he or she is merely acting on behalf of eligible finalist and that he or she is not entitled to prizes and/benefits awarded to finalists or prize winners. 
  14. Should a prize winner and or finalist who is eligible for a prize but who is not present as a result of declining an invite to be present for the draw, the casino shall take all reasonable steps to contact the prize winner via the contact details provided in the register or otherwise readily available. In such circumstances the prize winner may within 15 days of the draw claim the prize.
  15. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes.
  16. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into.
  17. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified.
  18. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
  19. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  20. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force;

NON ELECTRONIC PROMOTIONAL RULES

  1. Gaming legislation prohibits persons under the age of 18 from participating in any gaming activity. 
  2. Participants must be registered or should register for a Hemingways Card prior in order to qualify as a participant, subject to advertised mechanics. 
  3. Draw times and dates will be advertised through advertising mediums used for this promotion. 
  4. To claim your prize, the participant must be present at the draw, unless he/she has declined to be present for that draw and has signed the register to decline to be present at the draw in person. He / she will still remain eligible for prizes should he/she be drawn. 
  5. After the announcement of the winning ticket, that participant has 90 seconds to present positive identification for verification at the stage in the form of; an SA identification document/passport and Hemingways Card and must be produced within the allocated time period otherwise a re-draw will be held. 
  6. Participants will obtain their Draw ticket at the eHost by swiping their Hemingways Card. Tickets will only be issued in the name of the cardholder. 
  7. Participants will enter their draw tickets in the entry bin situated in a predetermined designated area.
  8. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes. 
  9. The prize winner must claim the prize at the casino within 15 days of the draw.

PROMOTIONAL GAMING CREDIT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Promotional Gaming Credit works on the basis of replacing your bet after every spin. 
  2. Promotional Gaming Credit is loaded onto a card. 
  3. Once the card is inserted a welcome message and the current Promotional Gaming Credit balance will be displayed. 
  4. Promotional Gaming Credit must be activated by inserting a minimum of R 10. 
  5. The Promotional Gaming Credit can be used on multiple machines by removing the card and inserting it into another machine. 
  6. Promotional Gaming Credit cannot be cashed out.

SMS COMPETITIONS

  8. Prize Winners will be selected by way of random selection.

  10. Participants must SMS their entry into the draw within the specified or advertised times. 
  11. Should the prize in the competition include Promotional Gaming Credits as such, the prize winner/s shall be required to sign up for a Hemingways Card in order to make use thereof.
