TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VARIOUS PRIZES

NON-NEGOTIABLE CHIP REDEMPTION RULES

  1. Winnings on bets may be paid out in cash chips depending on game type.
  2. The value of the Non-Negotiable chips will be excluded as the Non-Negotiables have no cash-in value and will be forfeited after being paid. 
  3. Losing Non-Negotiables will be treated as losing bets. 
  4. Non-Negotiables played which result in neither a win nor loss will remain in play, dependent on the rules of the game, in some cases they may be returned to the player. 
  5. In a situation where only half the bet is lost (surrenders on BJ or "O" on AR) a cash chip may be used to half the odd chip if needed. 
  6. Non-Negotiables cannot be played as call bets or on outside chances (Roulette Tables).
  7. Non-Negotiables cannot be cashed out.

HEMINGWAYS HOTEL

  1. Hemingways Hotel vouchers entitle the bearer to; a Hemingways Hotel night stay for two including breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant. 
  2. Voucher is valid until the specified date on voucher and may not be extended thereafter. 
  3. Bookings are subject to availability. Please contact reservations department on (+27 43) 707 8000 and quote the reference on the prize letter to make a booking. Acceptance will be based on availability; voucher cannot be used on Public holidays and commemorative days.
  4. Original letter must be produces on arrival at the hotel, copies will not be accepted. 
  5. The voucher is not transferable and may not be converted to cash and. If lost, the voucher will not be re-issued. 

ELECTRONIC PROMOTIONAL RULES 

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion.
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into the category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion.
  3. This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  4. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration.
  5. Finalists and/or Prize winners will be selected by way of random draw. Specific draw times and dates; and entry criteria, will be advertised through advertising mediums used for this promotion.
  6. Participants must activate their entry into the draw(s), on the day of the draw(s) prior to the actual draw(s) within the specified times during which the electronic entry bins are open. The opening and closing times for the entry bins will be advertised through mediums used within the casino.
  7. Prize Winners will be selected by way of random draw, all draws are electronic. 
  8. All Participants are required to be present on the respective dates/times to be eligible for a Prize: Provided that a participant elects not to be present in person when the winner/s are announced, the participant must nominate another person who has been duly authorized in writing to attend the draw on behalf of a participant in the form and manner determined by management. Nomination forms will be available at the Customer Services Desk from the opening and closing times for the electronic entry bin.
  9. Participants or duly authorized representatives shall be required to present themselves within 90 seconds from the time of announcement, and must produce the valid ticket entry and positive and acceptable form of identification e.g. a South African I.D./South African Driver’s License/Passport or other official form of identification as approved by the casino, Hemingways Casino Rewards card of the individual that they are representing and any other details as required. A redraw will occur should participants not present themselves within 90 seconds. 
  10. Should the prize winner or nominee not present themselves within 90 seconds, and there is no record of the prize winner declining the invitation to be present a re-draw will take place.
  11. Authorized representatives or a participant shall not be entitled to any prizes and shall not take receipt of prizes accruing to the Participants they represent.
  12. Prizes are to be collected and signed for receipt thereof by the relevant Prize Winner (not representative), as the case may be, within 15 days from the date of the draw from the casino where the prize(s) were won
  13. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised.
  14. Persons acting on behalf of eligible finalists must acknowledge that he or she is merely acting on behalf of eligible finalist and that he or she is not entitled to prizes and/benefits awarded to finalists or prize winners. 
  15. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; any complaints arising at the event will be investigated and forwarded to the ECGBB for investigation and final decision.
  16. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified.
  17. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
  18. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  19. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.

PROMOTIONAL GAMING CREDIT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Promotional Gaming Credit works on the basis of replacing your bet after every spin. 
  2. Promotional Gaming Credit is loaded onto a card. 
  3. Once the card is inserted a welcome message and the current Promotional Gaming Credit balance will be displayed. 
  4. Promotional Gaming Credit must be activated by inserting a minimum of R 10. 
  5. The Promotional Gaming Credit can be used on multiple machines by removing the card and inserting it into another machine. 
  6. Promotional Gaming Credit cannot be cashed out.

SMS COMPETITIONS

  4. Participants must interact via SMS to qualify for an entry to the draw by transmitting the "code word" and their Name via SMS to the number provided. 
  5. Sms's are charged at R 1.50. Free minutes do not apply.

  7. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration. 
  8. Prize winners will be selected by way of random selection.
