Mahé Island’s Main Attractions

Understandably one of Mahé island’s main attraction is water sports. Just take one look at the crystal clear turquoise waters and you will feel them inviting you in. From canoeing in the shallow waters around our beach to paragliding and jet skiing in the north of the island, be prepared to fall in love with the Indian Ocean.

Let us turn a simple standup paddle boarding, canoeing and snorkeling trip into a decadent experience. Wash the salty waters of the Indian Ocean from your mouth with the bubbles of perfectly chilled Champagne, while you float upon the waves.

The crystal clear aquamarine waters surrounding the MAIA peninsula are reserved only for the pleasure of non-motorised water sports such as canoeing and snorkeling – ensuring your experience of paradise is undisturbed by the sound of a boat engine, unless of course, one of our luxury leisure crafts throttles in softly to take you to another Seychelles experience.

About 45 minutes from MAIA, the Beau Vallon aquatic water sports centre in the North of Mahé provides a variety of motorised and non-motorised water sports, including parasailing, skiing, jet skiing, paddle skiing, windsurfing and banana rides. Instruction on Hobie cats, windsurfing and waterskiing is also available.
