Nelspruit is the gateway to the Lowveld, Mozambique and of course, the Kruger National Park. A 2-hour drive will take you into Mozambique, an hour will put you at one of Kruger’s gates and the Lowveld is on your doorstep.
The Lowveld makes up part of a uniquely African landscape of subtropical savanna that stretches into Zimbabwe, Zambia and towards the equator. The Kruger National Park needs little in the way of introduction, but for safari first-timers, the Kruger is regarded as one of the best African wildlife experiences on the entire continent. With the added convenience of the modern infrastructure in Nelspruit, an authentic African game viewing experience doesn’t mean you have to compromise on comforts or head deep into the bush on a month long trek!
Just 30 minutes from Nelspruit is Kaapsehoop, a quaint town built during the gold rush, that’s now known for its bird life and the wild horses that roam freely in and around the town.
As the capital of the Mpumalanga province, Nelspruit has great shopping, easy access by air or road and a number of important commercial, sporting and educational institutions. With a diverse appeal for nature lovers, history buffs, adventurers and business visitors, Nelspruit welcomes you to the Lowveld.
