Sports at Paradise Sun
Volleyball and Boules, Yoga and Table Tennis
Take a break from sun-lounging and burn some calories as the perfect excuse for that extra cocktail or brownie at our afternoon coffee & cake serving. Join us for beach volleyball, yoga, water polo or table tennis throughout the week.
Volleyball - Our sand floor volleyball court is available for guests. Pick up a volleyball at the Beach Clubhouse and play with the family or invite some other guests to join you. To play beach volleyball, the idea is simple. Send the ball over the net and get it to hit the ground on your opponent’s side. A game starts with a serve and the team is allowed three touches on their own side before sending it to the opponents. Don’t worry though if you don’t know how to spike or block, beach volleyball is quick to learn and a fun team game.
Beach Soccer - Whether you fancy a casual kick-around or something more competitive, pick up a football at our Beach Clubhouse. With soft sand that stretches for 2kms when the tide is out, you’ll have plenty of space for a game big or small.
Water Polo - Take a look at our weekly schedule and join us for fun water polo. First time players are most welcome. Two goals, one floating water polo ball and two teams passing the ball and trying to score in the opponent’s goal. Energetic fun in our pool.
Water Sports - Kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards and snorkels are all available at our Beach Clubhouse.
Petanque - Join us for petanque during the week (check our weekly calendar to see when) or borrow a set of boules from the Beach Clubhouse. Rules are simple, a small ball is thrown (called the cochonnet or ‘little pig’) and then players have to roll or throw hollow steel balls as close as they can to the ‘little pig’. Perfect for lazy afternoons with minimal energy expenditure.
Yoga - Morning yoga is free to join and the perfect stretch and limbering needed before a day of snorkeling. Check the schedule for when it’s on, and join us for some downward dog, child pose and warrior pose with a workout view better than any gym.
Table Tennis - A ping-pong (table tennis) table is set up near the volleyball court for something a little less energetic. Bats and balls are available at our Beach Clubhouse. First to 21 wins.
Tee off from some of the most breathtaking tees in the world. Whether you play the worst or the best game of your life, you won’t play one more memorable. The famous 15th hole is the signature shot, with a 50-metre drop from the tee on a ridge to the hole below and stunning views of Anse Georgette beach. Recognised by the PGA and other federations, this 18-hole golf course on the north of Praslin is a real challenge for both professionals and amateur golfers – but an unforgettable pleasure for both.
