Directions to Paradise Sun Hotel, Praslin

Getting to Paradise Sun on Praslin really sets the mood for your Indian Ocean escape. Fly in from Mahé and enjoy 20 minutes of shades of ocean blues and white-sand palm-covered islands. Take the hour-long ferry crossing and enjoy a more adventurous, but just as beautiful journey with dolphin spotting a regular perk of the ride. Paradise Sun Hotel is located on Cote D’Or beach in the Anse Volbert bay on the north side of the island.

Getting to The Seychelles

International arrival by air is always to Seychelles International Airport on Mahé and regular services are operated by Air Seychelles, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Etihad, Emirates and Qatar.

 

Getting from Mahé to Praslin

BY AIR

There is no shortage of flights between Praslin and Mahé with 170 scheduled flights per week operated by Air Seychelles.

Always check baggage allowance with the airline as the aircraft are usually small 16-seater planes.

Flights depart from Seychelles International Airport on Mahé and flight time is approx. 20 minutes.

BY BOAT

The Cat Cocos  high speed catamaran ferry service operates daily services between Mahé and Praslin.

The largest of their ferries carries 475 passengers, but booking ahead is always recommended.

Ferries leave Mahé from the Inter Island Quay (near Victoria) and land at Baie Ste. Anne on Praslin. There are three crossings most days.

If you are arriving by air to Mahé airport you can pre-book an airport to ferry quay taxi transfer.

Crossing time is approx. 60 minutes.

Getting to Paradise Sun on Praslin

If you are taking the ferry it lands at the Baie Ste Anne jetty. From ferry jetty to the hotel is approx. 10 – 15 minutes by taxi.

If you are arriving by plane at Praslin Island Airport a taxi takes 25 to 30 minutes and passes through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve.

Get from Mahé to Praslin by boat or air. The ferry is 3 times a day and takes 60 minutes. Flight is 20 minutes and there are 14+ flights per day.

Get to Paradise Sun on Cote d’Or beach by taxi or hire a car. The hotel is 25 minutes from the airport and approx. 15 from the ferry jetty.
