2017 Africa Shared Value Summit
From Thursday, 25 May 2017 to Friday, 26 May 2017
Profit with Purpose – together we can change the world
Why should you attend:
The aim of the 2017 Africa Shared Value Summit is to raise awareness in South Africa and on our continent and to advocate for the success of the strategic implementation of the Shared Value business model which brings about social change while positively impacting profit and society. It is an opportunity to hear from some of the leading practitioners in the Shared Value Space.
The Shared Value business concept came to life when business leader, academics, government and social organisations recognized that CSI, CSR and Philanthropy on its own is not going to bring about change at the scale that is needed to create a better world, and better living conditions for all. A new business concept was required that link competitive advantage and social responsibility. As per Prof Michael Porter and Mark Kramer’s Harvard Business review “The solution lies in the principle of shared value, which involves creating economic value in a way that also creates value for society…”
Listen to international and local speakers talk about shared value and how a shift in strategy can make a positive impact on an organisations profits as well as society.
