Tsogo Sun's Rewards Programme offers casino cardholders a programme with real benefits that offer great value.
We’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions with answers below,so that you can familiarise yourself with how the Casino Rewards Programme works.
1. Where do I get a card?
Visit the Customer Service Desk at any of our casinos.
2. How much will it cost me to get a card?
There is absolutely no cost for your first card. In the event that you lose your card, a replacement fee of up to R 30, dependent on casino property, may be charged.
3. What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
Report your card lost or stolen at the Customer Service Desk. You will be issued with a replacement card of the same status level and may be charged a replacement fee of up to R 30 (dependent on casino property). Your new card will have the same number as your original card.
4. Why do I need an ID book or passport when I sign up for a card or get a replacement card?
For the protection of your points, it is essential that we have a valid ID for application or card replacement. This also helps us to ensure that only persons 18 years or older apply for a card, in line with Gaming legislation. A valid ID includes a South African ID book, South African drivers licence or, for international customers, a valid passport.
5. Can I use my card at all Tsogo Sun casinos?
You can use your Rewards card at any other casino to claim the same benefits relating to your card status at participating outlets. To earn points while playing at another casino you will need to visit the Customer Service Desk and get another card for that casino. Since we have different casino systems at the different properties, you will need a casino specific card to play and earn points at each casino. The good news is that you will immediately qualify for the same status card at all the casino properties.
6. Can I use my card at Tsogo Sun hotels?
Your card qualifies you for an immediate discount at participating hotels. However, to earn SunRands (hotel points); you will need to sign up for the Hotel Rewards Programme.

7. Can I have more than one card per casino?
Cards are limited to one per person per casino.
8. How do I earn points on my Card?
You earn points by playing the Slot machines or Table games on the casino floor.
9. What can I do with my points?
You can exchange your points for FreePlay for use on the Slot machines or Table games. Insert your card into the Slot machine card reader and follow the prompts to convert your points to credits. Visit the Customer Service Desk for information on how to convert your points to Tables credits.
10. Will my points expire?
Yes, your points will be valid for 12 months from the date on which they were earned. To make the most of your points, use them as FreePlay on your favourite Slots and Table games before they expire
11. How will I know the value of and date of expiry of my points?
Make sure that your contact details are up to date on our system. We will notify you of points expiring via SMS and email.
12. Does my patron number change when I replace my card or if I am upgraded to another status?
No, your patron number does not change from the time of signing up.
13. Where can I view my current points balance?
Insert your card at any Slot machine and follow the prompts to view your balance. At some properties, there are eHosts, where you can insert your card and view your balance. If you have opted in for email communication and we have a valid email address for you, you will receive your current points balance via email on a monthly basis.
14. Can I transfer my points to someone else?
Points are not transferrable. Points can only be earned or used by the person whose name appears on the card.
15. How can I move to the next status level?
All cardholders start on Gold status when they receive their card. Earn 35,000 points for a Platinum card and 150,000 points for a Black card. Points earned over a rolling 12 month period are used to calculate your status level. Remember to always use your card when playing on the casino floor to accumulate points.
16. How long will my status level be valid for?
Your Platinum or Black cardholder status will be valid for a year from date of issue.
17. Why should I give permission to receive communication from Tsogo Sun?
We are always looking for ways to reward you. This includes great offers, discounts to shows and events and ongoing communication about exciting entertainment offerings at the casino. If we don't have your information, we cannot keep you informed. It's as simple as that! We have no intention of spamming you, and if you feel that you are receiving unnecessary communication, please let us know. We will immediately exclude you from receiving information that is of no interest to you. Of course, you can opt-out of all communication by following the instructions on our emails or SMS messages.
18. What are SunRands?
SunRands are the foundation of the Hotel Rewards Programme. SunRands are earned at participating hotels on qualifying rates and items and can be redeemed towards free holidays.
