No, your points are not transferrable. Points can only be earned or used by the person whose name appears on the Tsogo Rewards membership card or the Tsogo Rewards webpage.

The Bonus Suite is an App only benefit. Any points earned cannot be manually redeemed at any site via an Ingenico or Head Office.

Yes. As one pot is full, it will start filling a new one. Please note, that a filled pot expires after 3 months if not redeemed.

This depends on your tier. For example, the pot size for a 10-Tier is R50 accruing at 0.5% of theoretical. Ace-Tier pot size is R250 accruing at 2.5%.

There is a report available to allow you to search for it from BI. Its beneficial for the guest to make their own booking as it allows them to use their Bonus Stay points. However, if this is a complimentary booking awarded by VIP Services, the VIP host will make the booking directly with the Hotel’s reservations or Front Desk departments who will request the correct information to make the booking. 

No, the points won’t be available. But if the guest is clever enough to transfer the points to the entertainment bucket before replication takes place on the app, they can still use it for hotels and restaurants etc.

You still need to have a Tsogo Rewards membership card per property to play with, but essentially you have one account for the group (88******* number). This is a virtual membership profile and the details can be viewed by accessing the Tsogo Sun App. Hotel falls under this virtual membership, it was a means to differentiate the casino and hotel, but yes, it is one rewards programme.

  • You can transfer your points , for example, from Montecasino to Suncoast, playTSOGO to Suncoast or Suncoast to entertainment. 
  • Bonus Stay and Play are games where you can earn additional points on the Tsogo Sun App. 

This will be ongoing. We plan on keeping the Bonus Suite interactive with new features. The App itself should have 4 updates a year with something new.

Yes. This is the Tsogo ID on the “Home” screen. 

Bonus stay is based on point accumulation on hotel and F&B spend. This is rewarded back to the guest at a minimum of 5%. When the guest books the room, it will be a point deduction transaction through our booking engine.

When you sign up to our Rewards Programme at a Tsogo Sun casino, Tsogo Sun App or Tsogo web page, you will start at the 10-Tier. To move your status level up, you need to earn points by playing Slots or Tables or on payments made at Tsogo Sun hotels, restaurants, bars and other Tsogo owned outlets. The points you have earned over a 12-month period determines your upgrade to the next tier. You must actively play at Tsogo Sun casinos and utilise your membership number at Tsogo outlets whenever you visit to ensure that you earn points for qualifying transactions. Point redemptions will not affect your status level.

Logging in from multiple devices is possible, however not at the same time. Discounts and offers are not claimable or redeemable more than once. 

Yes, however points transfers will only work before the banning filters through to the app. Once it filters through, points and gaming offers are unavailable from the property he/she is banned from. 

Points are in cents value due to our gaming systems. So, 2000 points = R20.

However, SynXis converts these points to Rands when logging in to book a room.

As a Tsogo Rewards member you save at Tsogo Sun outlets – hotels, restaurants, shows, events, movies@ tickets, spas and more. Every time you play at a casino or pay at Tsogo outlets, you earn points, which you can use to play for free or towards your bill. The more you use your Rewards benefits, the more points you accumulate. This means you can improve your Rewards status and get even bigger discounts.

Yes, your membership number is the key to claiming your rewards. Make sure you always keep it handy so that you can present it before you settle the bill at the restaurant or bar offering a Rewards discount. When you book accommodation, certain shows, events and movie tickets online, you can also claim your discount by entering your membership number. Don’t forget your membership number when you visit Gold Reef City’s Theme Park or the Montecasino Bird Gardens, where you will also receive a discount on your entry.

You need one card for every casino where you plan to play, but you cannot have more than one card per casino.

All you have to do to earn points is use your Tsogo Rewards membership card when playing Slots or Tables at the casino. Simply insert your card into the Slot machine before you play or hand your card to the Tables dealer before you play.

All you have to do to earn points is use your membership number when booking at any of our hotels and/or before you settle a bill at any of our restaurants and bars, buy shows, event and movie tickets.

Yes, your points will be valid for 12 months from the date on which they were earned. To make the most of your points, convert them for +Play on your favourite Slot and/or Table games or redeem them towards your bill at Tsogo Sun outlets – hotels, restaurants, shows, events, movies@ tickets, spas and so much more.

An eHost is a casino self-service kiosk that you will find in and/or around the casino. You can use it to check your points balance, claim rewards that have been offered to you, view the latest Slots Payouts and more. All you need to do is insert your Tsogo Rewards membership card and follow the prompts. 

Yes, your existing Tsogo Rewards membership card remains valid until you collect your new card at the unit.

For a Tsogo Rewards membership card, you will fill a form at the Tsogo Rewards desk. To sign up for hotel rewards only, you may request for assistance  from the front desk at the hotel you would like to book at, alternatively you may use a device that can access the internet.

There will be an update on the system. Hotel team members must ensure that they always validate with the SQL reporting system before confirming member rate with the guest. 

The ingenicos have been set up accordingly. When the guest swipes the Tsogo Rewards membership card or produces the 88******* number, they will receive the discount and earn points on the discounted value.

Miranda will be doing the slots configurations for all casinos.

R30, across all properties, naturally this money is refunded if the card is returned.

As long as the 88******* number has been input onto the persons profile, the guest will earn points for the stay. If the guest signs anything to the room Tsogo owned outlets and pays on checkout, they will earn points. Also, if they go to a Tsogo owned outlet and use their 88******* to get discounts, they will also earn points.  Guests will be able to use their points when booking online or pay at the desk using an Ingenico.

This will be the responsibility of the guest and the hotel.

The points are accumulated centrally, but we will know where these points are accumulated from. 

The rewards system and Opera are not linked, however, if the points are used when booking online, you will see that the room was paid. “Hotel rewards” are kept centrally but can be used at any unit.

K-Tier and A-Tier should receive complimentary tickets, with T&C’s. The movies@ condition for previous Black Card Holders received 20 complimentary tickets per month (maximum), limited to bookings of 4 tickets per screening. Not all 20 at once.

These 4 complimentary tickets are spread over the 4 weeks of the month.

For discounts and points accrual, they can use both. If they want to redeem points for their meal, if they swipe their card, they will burn gaming points. If they use their 88******* number, they will burn entertainment points.

Hotel based:

No. Guests will only earn points and qualify for discounted rates if the rewards membership number is linked to the guest’s profile. ID numbers and correct mobile numbers must be updated on Opera profiles. 

Redemption of points can only be done through ingeninco machines and SynXis. The Tsogo Sun App is linked to SynXis when booking at hotels.

Front Desk would need to update the Tier status before checking the guest in. The status can be verified by accessing the SQL system which was provided.

Points will show about 3 days after check-out.

There will be no earning and burning of points for any STO bookings.

Government can earn on individual bookings.

The amount of points redeemed for the booking will be printed on registration cards.

There will be an indication on the folio or invoice upon making a reservation.

At the top left next to the rate code, there will be NONE, which indicates that it does not qualify.

Yes, Tsogo Rewards members can book a maximum of 2 rooms per day on their discounted rate. Should they book more than 2 rooms, they will have to pay the full BAR rate for the additional rooms, unless there is a promotion available. T’s & C’s apply.

This depends on the rules, terms and conditions that are linked to the rate code.

88******* numbers cannot be duplicated on Opera. There will be a pop up message to warn the user, however merges are done at Head Office. If you pick up a duplication, please inform the rewards/loyalty department via email. 

Yes. MDM is linked to Opera. As long as the 88******* number and ID number are on the guest’s profile, the guest will earn points. The Bonus Stay module is for additional points that can be earned.

No. For now, requests should be sent to the Rewards team; Priyanka and Travis as it has to be investigated.

Yes. Points are earned on the discounted rate paid by card or with cash. If a guest is burning points, he/she will not earn points for spending the points.

On the Tsogo Sun App, points are in cents value and on SynXis it is in Rand value.

Insist on prepayment for shortfall upon making the booking or when the reservations team and front desk teams check arrivals as per SOP. 

Yes. Critical elements that must be on the profile is the name, surname, ID number, cell number and the loyalty card number with the correct Tier status. Central Data Base Merges need this information to match and merge all data bases including Opera, the rewards system and the gaming system. Further to this the client would earn their value and in the case of a Travel Agent they would earn their incentive override.

No. There is a project dealing with making groups that have a GOV or CORP rate attached to earn on the groups as those groups are not discounted but booked via the group functionality. GRPF rate codes will be rewardable in the future if this project is successful. Business will be briefed.

In case of a Travel Agent or PCO, the client will still earn rewards points. 

The restriction is 2 rooms per member per stay. The member will have to occupy one of these rooms. All rooms exceeding the limit of 2 rooms will be charged at BAR rate, however points will still be awarded.

No, the points you have earned will carry over to your new status levels.

Your tier status will be valid for a year from date of issue. Once you have hit the 12-month mark, you must make sure you have maintained the minimum points earning requirement for the status level you are at. Keep earning points to avoid dropping to a lower status level. Remember, the higher your status level, the better your rewards and benefits.
